With the recent unveiling of Environment Mixing (discovered by CMC MixD), it brought to mind many questions about how the competitive trackmania community could use this new technique in map-making. There are now hundreds of thousands more combinations of blocks available, which means that ESL competition maps for Stadium could theoretically be played in other environments. For instance, this map is played with Stadium physics on the Bay environment.

There are a few pro’s and con’s in this from what I’ve seen so far:

pro’s:
huge possibilities for tracks.
less bugs (from the tracks I’ve played so far anyway)
integrates the TMNF and TMUF communities?

con’s:
people must have TMUF to play – may split community?
may be more intensive on PC’s…?

there are probably alot more that I can’t think of right now.

BUT I WANT YOUR OPINION!
Do you think ESL tournaments would be a good idea on these new types of tracks? or is it a horrible idea?
